Post your suggestion for setting Hard-drives.

Thread Starter
Hi, I need suggestion. I have 3 hard drives.
one Maxtor 250 GB SATA 150 ( it has all my programs and OS now)
two identical WD 160GB PATA 133 (one has files and one is empty)

If you are in my position what would you do?

My Idea:
I would do keep 250GB Maxtor as my OS and programs and make 160 raid-0

Please Post your suggestion.

It doesn't make a lot of sense to make your slower drives RAID 0. Sell your 160's on eBay, buy another 250GB SATA, and make the whole thing RAID 0. Or make part of it RAID 0, and the rest just for storage. Only you know where your performance vs storage tradeoff line lies, but 250GB is probably waaaay too much for just OS and apps.

keep the 250 (use as data drive) and sell the 160's and buy at least 1 WD SATA Raptor Drive (10000 RPM)
