Camcorder review site

Hi,
I want to buy a camcorder but I am a complete newbie. Does anyone know a reliable website that I can consult. Something that compares, rates and reviews the popular models will be ideal. I plan to spend between 300-500. Does anyone recommend any particular models?

For the <$500 market, Panasonic will likely be your best bet. Look into the GS120. It has 3 CCD's (one for each color: Red Green Blue) and is pretty decent for a "street-price" of around $350-400.

Canon has some OK models under $500, but IMHO Panasonic beats it soundly... for now.

Finally, to address your first question, I would start out at THIS SITE (camcorderinfo.com) for your needs. It's basically as good as Steve's digicam is for still/digitals, but for camcorders. Reviews, comparisons, etc.
