Welp got my notebook friday and

I was instaling some software tonight with my dvd/cdrw combo drive and it started making a loud sqeeling sound and now it will not read any disc's when i put them in. But if I put the same disc in the dvdrw drive it reads them fine. I wonder if AW is going to make me ship the whole laptop back or what. Less thatn 3 days old I hope they treat me right.

Did they bypass the phases where they check your hardware ?

Got me, went from 9 to 13/14 in 4 days, so I dont know what they did in between.

I just called at around 3:30 am. The tech wanted me to take the dvd/cdrw drive out. Of course to do this i have to take the 4 hd cover screws out. So i have to wait till I get home at 7am and call back when I am home with a screw driver that will fit.

Update

Called tech support when i got home. They had me reseat the drive, same problem. Did an advance ship with a credit card hold on the defective part. Overall im happy with the support.
