Help me--- can't not view film *.wmv

Help me! when I view file *.wmv the pictures is not continuous. I can't view my movie normal. I installed driver for video card and DirectX 9.0c. But I still can't solve my problem. Can anyone tell me what is my problem.

My Laptop is very old. Toshiba Tecra550CDT, Intel MMX 266Mhz, 32MB Ram, video ram: 4MB. Last week, my Laptop run normal. I can view video file (type *.vmv, *.asf) normal. But when I installed my operator system (Win98) again, I can't view it. When I view video, video pictures move is very slow and not continuous.

Which laptop are you running? There's a known problem with the ati mobility card in Sager laptops (perhaps others?) that only appeared in later versions of the driver. A BIOS update is needed to fix it. Do a search in the Sager forums.

What sort of video are you trying to run? If it's those from www wmvhd.com you need a really high preformance computer to watch those. If it's a little clip it's another problem.
