9200 vs 9100/XPS

I am still waiting for my 9200 to arrive. However I am having som second thoughts in reference to it. I am considering going the 9100/XPS route.

Basically what concerns me about the XPS is the sheer weight of it. I mean the 9200 weighs in at 7.7 lbs I believe and th XPS tips the scales at over 10? I won't be lugging it around a great deal but still will be taking it to LAN parties and such. Maybe once or twice a week I will take it out of the house. Performance wise does the XPS just destroy the 9200?

Lastly I have heard some talk about the heat generated. Does it really get as warm as some posters have stated?

Sorry if this is covered in some other posts. I have read quite a few and just looking to get an apples to apples comparison.

Thanks

The performance of the 9200 and the 9100/XPS is about the same, unless you get the MR9800 for the XPS. The MR9800 is about twice as fast as the MR9700.

Other than that, the 9200 is a better machine in every respect. Better battery life, runs much cooler, better keyboard, better styling, better build quality. You did the right thing by getting the 9200.

You should wait for the i9300.

Sorry....Someone had to say it.

Edit: For real though, if you need a laptop today, don't wait.

The i9200 is a great gaming machine. I am used to a desktop that has a 3.2 ghz CPU, 1gig RAM and a x800 XT PE vidcard. When I recieved this laptop I was not disappointed on how it performed. I haven't really felt any heat out of yet. You WON'T be disappointed on your 9200
