For those of you wondering how long Phase 9 is....

Thread Starter
I called today to check on my status. I've been in Phase 9 since last Wednesday. I talked to "Chris" at Alienware and he told me that once your order is in Phase 9, it generally takes 5-7 days before it's shipped. I'm hoping what he said was true! Somehow I doubt it, but it's nice to hope.

Well I am on Phase 4, estimated ship date is Feb. 23rd. We'll see what happens.

Thanks for the post, I am new and just placed my order today. I happened onto this site by accident and have read good and bad reviews about the customer support. I look forward to inputting my experiences as it goes along.

If this is true, then i will get my system...oh..about two weeks ahead of schedule!
Woooot!!!
But seriously i don't think this will be the case. I would be thrilled if it is true cause that would mean that Alienware is faster in building computers than all of my previous systems...

Well, just wait and see....

your system probably failed during the 200 point inspection... and they sent it back to be rebuilt.

i think what happened was a decision on high. it seems that when alienware got the x800 offered, they also got the new ddr3 version of the geforce 6800 go. i'm guessing they willingly delayed everyone's order once they made this decision so that they didn't get alot of angry emails from people who could have been delayed a week. Amber, are you using that laptop as a replacement for your in field work laptop or just as a fun toy. the battery life makes field work a little bit questionable.

Ok a little info:

It is possible within two weeks.

Mine has shipped after only 13 days! And that is with a ATI X850 XT PE card which could take up to 14 days extra!!!!

i'm in phase 8...how long till phase 9 commences?
i tried tracking the phase dates but it has the tendency to make me a bit more ancy. i ordered on jan 20 what are the odds that i'll make the feb 21 ship date?
moving from phase 8 to phase 9 takes a while because they wait for all of your parts to come in before they can proceed to phase 9
post #19 of 58
it wont make your ship date, you might get your computer at the end of Feb. or early March
