What would be a reasonable price for a 3 month old Acer 4501wlmi?

PM 1.5 2mb cache dothan
40gig hd
ati 9700 64meg
15.4inch screen
4 hour batt life with 8cell batt
512meg ram.

Buying. Since it was discontinued, I thought the price will change. So for $1000 it wouldn't be too much?

Oh, by the way. Why did you return or sell so many laptops so quickly?
