Im not some jealous college kid, Im simply stating that when I PERSONALLY debated all high end systems I came back to Dell, and the 40% off coupon sealed it. I just cant justify a 3dmark gain as a reason to drop more than triple to 4 times the amount on an ALX...my XPS does NOT get blown away, even though it will do SOMEWHAT less in benchmark programs.
The "hard" reality is that hardware is the same, an X800 is an X800, a high end P4 and a high end FX, its all high end...the one who gets it for the lesser price is the winner, the people who pay quadruple what its worth make the computer and hardware makers very rich people...

Uh, the hardware is not the same unless Dell changed their proprietary motherboard policy overnight.
Last time I saw similarly configured XPS, and Area 51's in PC Gamer, they gave the Dell a 76%, and the AW a 93%.
There simply is no comparison.
If you can be happy with an XPS, more power to you, but if you want performance, get an AW.
And you seem to be having problems with pricing Commish. Last time I checked an XPS against an AW, the XPS was more expensive for the "same" hardware. And the AW came with a real motherboard with a functional bios.
Keep pushing your coupons, it's all you got.
