Here is what was sent to me from Mark Jones at Eurocom:

Hi there,

Sorry, I've been out of the office for a few days so unable to investigate your
questions. I don't yet know when we'll have some 5x1 CPUs however we have tested
a 6xx series and it does work fine. There will have to be a new BIOS produced
however to accomodate the 2MB cache.

bathtub nothing - you gonna need a supply of liquid nitrogen to keep that puppy cool

There was a taiwanese review of a 6xx processor comparing it against a 5xx series i read a while back (linked review throught theinquirer). According to the review, temps on the 6xx were about 5-7 degrees celcius hotter. At idle, their system was about 50 for the 5xx and 56 or so for the 6xx - nothing two fans and a massive copper heat sink can't handle.

Asus post a list of motherboards which supports PIV 64bits EMT64 :



I think that 5x1 serie is supported, but for the 6xx i don't know
