If you read the rules (which you refered to) you will see that we reserve the right to edit/delete/modify any post for any reason. There is no more open forum that this very one on the net with regards to Alienware products...if you think that's an incorrect assesment, please provide me a link to this site you speak of. Let's all agree that AW is working on the issue and has acknowledged dolphn1's irritation. If anyone can get this straightened out, Juan can.
I understand these forums are privately owned and therefore not protected by 1st amendment rights, however, mods should only edit posts when they break the rules. I don't agree with modifying a post just because the OP was contemplating legal action, etc...
Think about how useful a forum would be if people could not complain about items in it or discuss problems in it. Also, are all the forums under the same set of rules, I remember a recent thread about a class-action lawsuit forming over at the Toshiba forums over a notebook that crashes from static build ups.
Either way, I don't have an Alienware, so I'm just gonna stay out of this forum. Good Luck dolfin1 with the resolution of your situation.
