4760 only comes with 64mg of vram?

Why is it that the 4760 only comes with 64 mg of video ram? or am I missing something? I know that other sager laptops has radeon 9000 with 128mg ram...

there is no radeon 9000 w/128. There is, however, the radeon 9600 pro which comes with 128mb ram.

Ya I know it kinda sucks especially since the 4760 has the best looking chasis. a 9600 pro with 800 mhz fsb would

The 8887 and the 5670 both had the 9000 with 128MB RAM, but the 4760 has 64MB.

The 4760 model is scheduled to get the 800FSB and 128MB ATI 9600 PRO in October.

So Adam, do you think that upgrade would bump the 4760 up to compareable to the 5680 and the 8890? I ask because I'm actually not looking to invest a lot of money into a laptop just for gaming, unlike probably 90% of the people that buy your monster laptops

I went and spent my money on one of the nice new Nvidia cards for my new desktop so now I need to be economical and I for the most part just want the new laptop to run programs I write at college on when I come back home to visit and on campus, and watch the occasional movie. Actually the "inability" to play the games I want would probably be a plus...hehe.

So if the price is gonna jump I'll probably want to jump at grabbing one before october, but if the price is gonna stay pretty much the same I would probably be willing to wait a bit for that extra bit of speed from the 800 FSB.
