I'm sorry I know this is probably a simple fix and a noob question to some of you but i've searched google and I can't figure this out and its bothering me since I only got this thing yesterday I'm still not laptop "savy" ok heres the question

I was messing with the power management features and i changed it to max battery... it dimmed the lcd screen I can't figure out how to get back bright again.. I've tried changing the power management to several different settings and I've restarted... This is all on battery use.. I liked the bright screen on battery and I'd like to figure out how to get it back if possible...

Thanks

ok answered my own question power option properties/vaio powermanagement then changed it to max lit.. it was on no change... is there a way that this will change automatically when switching between power saving functions? or must I always come back here to change it manually?

Yes, it is under the vaio power management utility - you can specify what each setting is. You can also use fn+f5 to decrease brightness and fn+f6 to increase brightness.

hold down the Fn button and then press either F5 or F6 to dim or brighten the screen, respectively. Easy enough, athe volume buttons are of a similar vien, hold Fn and then press F2 F3 F4 for Mute, Volume Down, and Volume Up. Useful little tools
