Review: Klas - Custom sleeve for a notebook review with pics!

As some of you I was searching around for a good sleeve to protect my investment and I run into a post that mentioned sfbags offering custom made sleeves for notebooks. I did not hesitate that much because I wanted to get protection for my notebook ASAP. So I went ahead and placed order on the 16th. The order was processed quickly and customer service was great. Based on dimensions of the laptop I ordered size 11 for it, later same day I received an e-mail from customer service mentioning that they replaced my order with a smaller sleeve (and cheaper too, size 8) and in case it did not fit they would send me the other one along with the prepaid shipping label to send the wrong one back.
Received my order today (took only 2 days), I am in WA and it was shipped from CA via regular USPS mail.

Finally the sleeve:

Outside is made out of very durable material, seems like the same material used on most suitcases. The bottom of it is made out of even tougher material. It's perfectly stitched and if you look very closely it shows high quality craftsmanship. On the back there is a pocket to put some papers, but you have to be careful not to flip it over. I was able to stick power adapter & mouse in the back pocket, although I am afraid it will strech it after some time. Also, it was thoughtful to include something at the bottom of the case that will allow you to easily pull the laptop out of the sleeve.

Inside (separate layer) is made out similar material used in Shinza sleeve which is soft and will not scratch your notebook. The flap inside also made out of soft material which is used in most bags for electronics.

Conclusion, if you don't care about the looks & price, but in need of sleeve that will perfectly fit & protect your laptop then this sleeve is for you.

To me it's the advantage of having plain looks because it will not draw attention unlike some other sleeves.

Pros
  • High quality that will last you for a long time
  • Perfectly fit most (if not all) laptops
  • Great CS from the company

Cons
  • Somewhat expensive (for that money you can buy a cheaper bag)
  • Does not have the wow factor

Web hosting is down, no pics for now

I have the sleeve case without the flap and love it. I actually have the combo (messenger bag, sleeve case, and storage bag). In the messenger bag I can fit my laptop, 2 pairs of headphones, external hard disk, cables, mouse, digital camera, etc. It starts to get heavy but I don't travel with it too much.

I always find the problem isn't so much the inside of my bag it's the stupid zipper. Sometimes if I am in a real hurry I put my laptop in my bag and it hits the zipper.
I didn't get to see your pictures but I checked their website..they have some great looking stuff.
