Asus V6 talk - Page 2

Hmm, looking at the THG review, I'm wondering when there will be a review out of the integrated graphics models, since that's where the DDRII should make more of a difference.
I'd be very interested in seeing if they'll offer these systems with old chipsets and memory. I'm more interested in battery life and weight than small increases in performance, so I'm wondering whether less 'high powered' models might not serve me better. However, I need to see what integrated graphics can actually do... I suspect it's still very little.
Oh well. I guess we don't even want to think of the price tag on these babies? The W3 looks particularly nice in my opinion...

I wonder what these thing will cost? when will they hit the shelves? Still debating if i should have waited it out, but it's kinda too late seeing i just got my m6ne.....oh well. The review on tom's hardware kinda killed it for me.

must say i agree with georgewa,
the tom hardware review combined with a really good deal on the asus m6800 (with almost the same spec's at half the price...),
ok, it doesn't look as fly as the v6,
and it is a little bit heavier,
but for me the savings is worth it for me..

I believe Asus claims it to be the thinnest and lightest 15" laptop around.

What is interesting to me is, they are still keeping the W1 line and up it to the next level. So they will have two line of laptops with nice designs.

The W1 just won the design award.

It'd be much better to get an UXGA version--SXGA+ is quite poitnless to me, as you can get that on a smaller 14.1" notebook.

anyone get a v6v yet??? please post something if you did......thanks. i still like the m6ne, the biggest downfall for me is the width factor, everyone who sees it swears it's a 17in at first glace.....but is is thin. not having a second battery option on the v6v kills it, along with the shorter battery life. but the design is a big thumbs up, exspecially because i don't like the widescreens all that much. i'll keep the m6 until the v6v's are cheaper, and i hear there will be barebone v6v's available later on, better to get to a config......

I'm sure someone will have one in their hands by the end of the week. Hopefully we'll learn more about it. I was very close to purchasing one yesterday. But, I do have a little sticker shock over the $2200 price tag. It is a very attractive laptop though.
