hi!i want to buy new laptop and all is good besides radeon X600 cuz this card is just like 9600/9700..i want a laptop that will display smoothly doom 3 or Hl2 with 1280:1024 (or if it's possible 1280:1024 AA4AF8 too)it will be new model with x700/x800 card?maybe.. Compaw X7000 or X8000? if yes ..when it'll come?please answer fast

I play doom 3 at ultra + a few AA settings and get playable FPS on my dell...

But anyways, my 9600 runs off GDDR2 ram so that gives it a boost

Erm...when will they release a laptop with those cards? Or...what? Compaq X7000 / X8000? I don't know if the Compaq X Gaming PC's will do that...as far as I can see, HP is getting lathered in new tech, while Compaq is..not as...cool.

Well I remember Compaqs try at a gaming desktop was pretty nice. Compaq is cool....get it straight...LOL. But I don't think HP will be coming out with the any laptop with those kind of cards for a while. They might put in the Nvidia 6600 or 6200. But this is because most of their customers are older business type consumers or illegal music downloading teens. They try to balance portability, looks, power, and graphics. Plus they are a mainstream company and don't need to sell the fancy gaming machines like Voodoo or Falcon. Because their computers will end up at Best Buy or CC where most people come to buy their laptops! So in short..."NO".....maybe in a couple months....

thanks for reply but i don't know what do you want from Compaq? it is good company in my opinion!looks better than zd8000 and is over 200$ cheapier than hp...when i see all U guys tellin'"oh..compaq?no thanks!" i'm dissapointed!is it something wrong with compaqs or something?:/ but wathewer..i think that x600 is very good card for this time and i'll be sutisfacted but you know..x700 is much better than x600 so i askin if it'll be model with that card..i'll wait and buy it.
