8890 Ordered early but no tracking #? - Page 2

Apparently 4 orders from California went out yesterday from Sager. They hit Orlando FL about 2 hours ago. I am tracking my package, its like an addiction.


Intrestingly enough my package weighs in at 21 lbs. @ others weigh 23 lbs and the forth weigh in at 24 lbs.

Well I found out that my 8890 was one of the 14 that had problems in the final tests. I hope it ships today. I'm trying to upgrade the shipping from Sager to PCTORQUE (I'm in Cali) to overnight shipping so I can get my new lappy by Friday.

If you paid by cash. what counts is when you check cleared /cash got wired.. so actual processing date could be later then order date..

Actualy since my laptop was sent from the same place (Sager) to the same place (PCTorque) when I check my tracking number it gives a little link to the rest of the orders that were sent with it. (whew, long sentance) I would assume that the 3 orders plus my own are for buyers in California.

I placed my order 08/07/2003 19:50:29 EDT. As of 1:26 am Aug. 27 I still have no tracking number. I paid with a credit card. This is like being a kid and waiting for Christmas.

Now, someone explain this to me...

Help me out with this one, I guess I don't understand.

I am number 80 out my shipment for a new 8890. I didn't receive my UPS confirmation number yesterday or today. Does this mean that I lost my window, and it will be another week before I get my computer because of parts availability (new keyboard)?

Trying not to be impatient here, I am typically not an impatient person. I am just trying to figure this whole thing out.

You're asking the forum members this? How would the forum members know? THAT'S why it's moved to off topic. Everyone knows there are no resellers on these forums including PC Torque that discuss an individual's order status on the forums. It has nothing to do with the forums. More and more people are posting their order status in Sager general and it's cluttering up the forums for technical descussion so it's being moved to off topic. For order questions, you need to email your reseller because members are not going to know your order status.

For PC Torque, there are a few tracking numbers that have not been sent out from yesterday due to the system being down, but it will be back up shortly.

Resellers are not in control of what ships, resellers simply push the orders through to get everyone a place in line. We can only pass along info from Sager.

The Sager General Forum is for discussion of Sagers, NOT your order from PC Torque. We welcome discussion of orders, placement, experiences, etc., in Off Topic as that is what it was designed for. There is a general pre-order thread in Sager General, but you did not post in that. If everyone started a post asking where there order was, there would be pages of threads like this since all order being shipped now are perorders and we don't know exactly which ones are shipping when.

Your first post was NOT deleted, it was moved. Your second post was then merged with this one.

And besides, this question is best addressed in a PM or email to one of us since we are the only ones that would actually have the answer - not the other forum members.

PM me your order number and I will investigate for you.

Am I just supid or wasnt this explained yesterday. As I understood it several of the machines were held back to fix problems with them - which is why some of the early order number people didnt get a tracking number. Seems simple enough to me folks.
