External storage drives

Hey everyone, just curious as to who uses these external storage drives and how they work. I am looking to purchase Seagate ST3160024A-RK 160 GB External USB 2.0/FireWire Hard Drive to supplement my hard drive on my lappy. I have the 60 gig 7200 drive and it is already getting crowded, and wanted to get the external drive to load my games on. I see that they have the same RPM speeds as my drive, but I was curious if anyone uses these for loading and playing games off of, and if so, then how does it work in that aspect? Does the load times and read speeds compare to the lappy drive fairly well? Thanks again.

I use 3x 80 GB 2.5" USB 2.0 Drives. They're all with 4.200 rpm 'cos I use them only for storage (old TV series). I just plug them in my 7-Port USB 2.0 HUB. Works great. I don't like the big 3.5" drives. Although they have more capacity they need an extra power source + are no fun to carry around.
