Question about hard drives???

I was wondering if someone could tell me that if my hard drive went bad, if there is anyway to take a similar drive and take the actual disk from the bad one and put it in the still working drive to try to retrieve the data that was on the bad drive?

I know it is a long shot, but I thought I would ask. Thanks

It's not feasable. Data recovery companies out there charge like a minum of $5,000 to even try.
