New Voodoo w/ Geforce6600

Hey guys was just perusing voodoo's site and I noticed they have a new laptop. Specs are pretty darn nice - 5.5 pounds, dual batteries, 6600 card, sonoma. This thing is pricey for sure but very nice. Oh yeah, its the m515 - the first web page you go to says it has a 6800 card but thats wrong when you go to configure you see its the 6600. Still, its tough to beat a 5.5 laptop with great graphics.

Let's just wait until the Asus Z71x with GeForce 6600 is available and then order it through a barebones channel or a rebadger/distributor.

I'd agree its overpriced just pointing out that its out there. Those paintjobs sure are sweet, though. If i had uber-cash i think i would have bought one by now. We need a rich guy on here to get one of these and take some pics.

lol. There also is a fairly new company by the name of XXXXXXX. I stubled upon their site yesterday

www.companyNAMEbanned.com

From what I hear, they get their paint jobs done by smooth.

anyone able to find an odm of this lappy?
The ODM is supposedly and ASUS Z71V and supposedly RJTech is going to sell it at the end of this month, and that is what I read from this forums.

Smooth Creations does paintjobs for laptops, pcs, ipods, etc, I just looked at their website and it is really cool, I just emailed them to see how much it is to paint a laptop, I want my lappie custom painted, if someone knows a better site than Smoot Creations let me know.

Wow I like the specs of this... I might cancel the Dell M70 order and go for the 515. I'm willing to sacrifice a little power for better weight/size and an awesome case.

Hey, lookee what I found:

Voodoo Envy M:515 ODM

Asus Z71V Spec *Available Here*

There's no real reason to go with the Voodoo over the Asus model, they're the same thing...unless you want to spend a few hundred (maybe almost a thousand?) more for a paint job and a free t-shirt...

...I know I'm beginning to get anal about this, but please look beyond the first page when posting new threads...

o fine

I think this has a better screen than asus

What makes you think that?
Well, we don't actually have any numbers on what the cost of the Asus Z71V is going to be, of course... I'm personally worried that all my hopes of getting a next gen Asus notebook are going to be dashed when I see how much they're going to cost. Goodbye sweet W3

Drugfranbs: You stumbled across that site, huh? Odd, considering you and Voodoopcfreak know each other and used to "speak" quite often on the Voodoo boards. Oh, yeah....as I recall, you also once mentioned that he built a system for you.

Doing the ads and PR for them?

Too expensive to pay for something you could get over 1/3 less price!
