Weird during file transfers between HD's

Ok this didn't start till I got my laptop back from RMA. If I transfer files between the 2 drives it hangs. Only large files like audio or video files not small files like 100k to 5mb but above that like 25mb to 700mb. both drives are 60gb drives. nothing else has changed as far as I can tell. Any ideas?

Found the answer M$ installed it's driver to the system as an update and the transfers would lock up between drives. Reloaded the promise driver all is good.

Oh yeah got to point this out. At Sager they reloaded the drivers when they put the new motherboard in, so it had this M$ drive on it when I got it back instead of the promise driver. Seems they have an untrained person amongst the staff.
