HP Pavilion dv1170us OR Presario v2140us

Hey everybody,
I'm trying to decide between the HP pavilion dv1170us and the Compaq Presario v2140us. I have heard some good and some bad about each model. Has anyone bought one yet or know of anybody that has that would tell me if they are pleased with it. I really like the way these laptop looks and the specs on them look really good. Has anyone out there had one of these yet? Any shared experiences would be awesome! Also, my other alternative would be a Toshiba Satellite M45-s331.

i have a dv1040us. i love it. but i only use it for class basically. it's got great wireless, it's light enough to take to class everyday, it burns dvds. i'm pleased with it. it's just not meant for games, so if that's what your into, then you might not want it.
