Sager NP9860 Review - Page 2

I just bought and recieved a 9860 with the ATI x800. I have the BFG 6800GT OC in my dektop (P4 2.53, 1.5 gig ram, 23" 1920x1200 lcd) and I am totally unimpressed with how WOW looks using my NVidia. There are several threads in the WOW support forum from 6800GT users complaining about low FPS. I encountered it myself.

I tried out my old ATI 9700pro and it matched the FPS my 6800GT put out.

6800 ultra users have not complained about this issue. However, since I loaded and played WOW a bit last night I notice no issues whatsoever and the game looks much crisper.

I am going to wait for the x850 before I upgrade my video card.

Within the next 2 weeks I should recieve my XPS2 (6800 ultra) so I will be able to use my 2 WOW accounts to side by side compare the 9860 w/x800 to the XPS2 w/6800U.

Top speed 3dmark05. I just did this here late at night while at work. The air is freezing here, so good time to bench the ATI cold. Here is a spiffy 3dmark05 were we to have a little better cooling.
