Ran 3DMark03 on my 7422GX - Page 2

I prefer radlinker, but just because I like its interface a little better. Personal preference thing. I don't know enough about the pros and cons of either to suggest one or the other.

For some strange reason ATITool no longer has my max core and max memory settings saved, although they were still saved there last time I shut down. Guess I'll try running the utility again to find max core/mem tonight.

After you choose your core/mem press "set" then press "new" and name it whatever and in should save.

I ran ATITool again to determine the maximum settings and had some strange results. It raised the core speed up to 408MHz before it found any artifacts, which was no surprise since that is within 1 MHz of what it found last time. However when I ran the memory settings it would only go up to 207MHz before it found artifacts, last time it overclocked to 227MHz before finding artifacts. Why did it have artifacts so much sooner? It only overclocked 7 MHz before finding anything, that seems like not very much. Is my GPU damaged?

Thanks for all the help.

Nah, lower your core speed a few mhz and then test mem. If your core is a little to high when you test mem, and you get an artifact from core, the mem test thinks the mem is to high because it assumes core isnt causing any artifacts thus lowering mem even though it isnt the problem.

Thanks, I'll give it a try tonight. So maybe I should drop to the core down to 400?

I don't even know if this is very good. Any comments?
I used the Forsage 5.3 Final driver to Mod the Ati 9550 to a "FireGL T2" and the 3dMark03 jumber to 2705 with no OC. Before the mod I had the same benchmark as you did... about 2380ish.
The firegl mod may not be "real" however...but the gaming certainly does get a boost. Probably the Omega would do the same thing...
