Best DVD to DVD software?

Couldnt find a better place to post this aside from here in off-topic. Anyway, my question is, what software does the best job at making a 1:1 copy to "backup" my selection of dvd's?

I tried dvdxcopy but that keeps giving me errors. Any information on your favorite program would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

DVD Decrypter to rip it and instantcopy to burn it. also if you have files (avi, divx, etc) that need converted use TMPGEnc. I think we have talked about this in the A/V section. I have found DVD+R's to work with the most players, but thats me.

any other ideas on programs? I am trying to "buy" them but I cannot find them at the moment. They are on "backorder". Anyway, it is rediculous to spend $50 for a program just to make a copy right after you spend $300 on a dvd burner. i saw that instantcopy does not copy the css protected dvd's. I want a program that copy any dvd. Any more help.

thanks btw

Thats why you use DVD Decrypter to rip it. It removes the copy protection. And it is free! Find it here:

sorry for the long address. this is not the official site, but this site has alot of info about making back ups of DVD's. Im pretty sure Instantcopy has a demo version. Using this two programs works great.

If you only try to copy a DVD with a DVD burn software like NERO, you will get a copy protection problem, so I gree with first rip it, of course DVD Decrypter, then burn it ...

ok... Thanks for the responses, but i have a problem. I am trying to rip a dvd so I got dvd decrypter and instant copy. I used dvd decrypter and got a mds file which is like 8 kb and an ez cd creator image which is 8gb. I wanted to get in on one dvd, but i wanted to keep all the features. I tried instantcopy, but i have to select the files by using the all files option in instant copy. Also, the destination does not allow me to go to my dvd burner. Any troubleshooting help on how to get those 8 GB files onto 1 dvd and keep all the features?

ok, i found out that instantcopy needs me to select the driver for my dvd burner. I have no clue which driver to select so I randomly guessed. I have a backpack dvd burner, but the drivers listed all says dvd rewriter and then something like a1 or 8h... the driver used ion my pc is bpfinder.sys or at least thats what is listed in device manager. Well i selected the 8h driver as that was the newest one i could see. i get an error that says burn process failed. cannot read file.... any help????????
