Stealing data

So... Im getting my notebook in a week or so here. Im going to be taking it to my anthro classes with me, as a note-taking machine. Since Im not a lightning-fast typer by any measure, I was wondering if I could just swindle the powerpoint presentation files off of my professor's crappy Dell notebook, from about 10 feet away...?

Under-handed? Yes. Unethical? Not really; she offers to show us the slides for as long as we need after class, and Ill just take what I need anyway.

So, what say you?

I doubt you can. Unless she shares it on a network or something. The easiest way is to ask her for them.

I was wondering if she had an infra-red port she doesnt use, that I maybe could wheedle my way into, but other than that, I was expecting to have to use wifi and try and access her machine... Dont know how Id do that, though... Kinda why I asked...

I have asked her before, and this is where its kinda strange. She doesnt want to just give me the information; she wants me to copy it down arbitrarily. If I could sneak in and just take what I need, Id be in much better shape, since I seldom, if ever, have the time to spend after class trying to copy down all the note on the PP slides.

Take a digicam into class and snap off pictures of the presentation. That would really tick her off...

GET a usb drive (256-512MBs are almost free nowadays), whens shes out of the room and no one is looking/paying attention, rip her drive to the usb drive and run away.. or back to your seat, throw them on your computer..

usb drives takes approx 15-25 sec to install depending on computer speed, copying depends on speed of the usb hub and speed of the key but if its just a ppt presentation, it should be less than 1 second

Got a 512Mb Twinmos thumb drive for $40 on Newegg.com.

That wont work, since shes always at her machine, or atleast near it... Unless... Unless I get my friends to create a diversion at the end of class, and...












Nah... Hafta' be wireless somehow... Cant I break in through some sort of infra-red or light-signaly thingy port or something that shes not using? Meh... Me lost.

I think the best idea is the camera idea.... You can't really hack her computer... since you're not connected to her in anyway...

The only thing is if shes on wireless and you know the SSID or WEP....possibly its broadcasting (Doubt it) you would be on her side of the firewall, so thats a big obsticle you don't have to worry about.

hey HACkers is technology of the FUTAR!!!!, they had full motion video going thru dialup 28.8!! now thats crazy compression

and no!!!!!!!! SHE has to be away from the computer either way for AT LEAST 2 mins, if she has a wireless card you can tell it to monitor for ONLY adHOC connections, TURN off the notification in the system tray, share out the entire C:, make and account on her computer like "temp/temp" or something inconspicuousm go back to your laptop, connect to her adhoc, and start ripping like a crazy mongorascal, if this doesn't work, steal her laptop and never give it back, shortly after get expeled and never hope to return to life

She dont do that. Way ahead of that phase here, compadre. I tried asking for the PP presentation of the day through email, but she thinks thats too easy. She obviously doesnt know how fast she goes. No, I think its come down to stealing the stuff I need, or trying to punch it out as fast as I can...

Besides, stealing stuff is more fun and ethical, and it fits my character.

I say seduce her and while she is passed out from exhaustion from some wild kinky sex, steal the data and share out her C: drive so that you never have to sleep with her again. Also, why you are at it,since you have already slept with her,see if she will give you an A and just pass you. It's worth a try. Unless she looks like @$$.Then you are out of luck, unless you are willing to make that kind of sacrifice.
