Heres my delema. I was big on the mx510 by logitech in blue of course, But I wanted something in wireless. The higher end logitech mx series get to be 80 to 100 dollars. Thats just insane. So I came across this media mouse. I like the fact that its wireless it has a side scroll option and you can controll volume of the laptop with it. Seems pretty sweet. Now does anyone have this mouse and how does it play with games? Is it slow? I didnt know there could be such a difference but i have been readin mice reviews Some dont work well with games. If anyone has one please let me know how it is. Thanks

I think there was mention in this forum of wireless mice and some percieved lag time in high end games but you would have to search back and see...I have an MX 900 and it works well in all other applications and it was $75 at the time I bought it

The media play mouse is sweeeeeeeeet. I'm using one at the moment and all in all its a pretty cool mouse. All the buttons are nicely set out and its pretty comfy to use, plus it seems to work on most surfaces with ease. oh and lets not forget the cool blue lights make it look amazing in the dark!

I'm not some sort of mouse expert, and i've only really used cheap ones in the past but as far as i can tell the mouse is ace! Im sure it doesnt compare to a Razorback super swank mouse but it really is the best wireless mouse unless you you want to pay a fortune for one.

MX1000 is UBER and is 62USD (last I checked) on www.newegg.com

I have a Logitech MX700, and I have experienced no lag whatsoever at all. I paid about 70 or 80 for it, but it is a damn nice mouse. It doesn't have side scrolling, but I would never use that feature anyways, plus it matches my laptop in color...

I also have the MX700 and it kicks ass and takes names. At first, I was afraid of what everyone else was afraid of... lag. To be honest, i couldn't even tell the difference in speed between this one and my other wired one. And it fits my hand so nicely as well. It’s an awesome mouse.

HOWEVER, if I were to buy a mouse for a laptop, it would become a pain in the ass to carry around the charging base of the mouse with it. I've been looking into wireless blue tooth mice that require no base, just the plan mouse. Unless of course this is going to be a desk top replacement, then the MX1000 or 700 would be just for you.

Logitech builds some good stuff..both in mice and keyboards...that 1000 is one sharp mousey!!

You can't go wrong with Logitech... they make nice mice.
I upgraded from the mx700 to the Bluetooth mx900 and love it. I also have the Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse and prefer the logitech. Although, the mx900 is not good for portability due to the large charging base. That is a big positive about the MediaPlay... it comes with a small USB receiver.
Don't listen to the lag stories; IMO you won't notice any lag in real world use.
If you do got the MediaPlay Cordless Mouse, let us know how it is. Sounds like jafpunker likes his.

Just wanted to say thanks for the Input. I went with the media mouse. Sweet ass. I got it in 2 days from buy.com. Great Company. Great price, great service, Fast Shipping. Two Thumbs up. They offered free shipping but it was 7 to 9 days. I had it in 2 days. 15$ cheaper than anywhere else. Awesome mouse, NO lag, Very fast. Again thanks all for the help.

By the way logitech Is my brand. I cant help but love there products. I even got a the new ps2 wireless controller, Which by the way is awesome as well.

mx 510 here over 2 megapixels so it definitly has no lagg.

I'm going to say either the mx 510 in performance enhancing blue or the mx1000 ... the mx1000 though has some serious issues though if your style of mouse movement is different than the average bargain bin gamer

Welcome to the MediaClick club! I love mine, even though it is a little 'taller' than im used to! I dont really use the media buttons that often but even just using them a few times a week makes them worth having! Also, i cant live without the 4 directional scroll wheel anymore! I really want a Razer Diamondback for my new 7700, as i'm getting more into the gaming and i need a deadly accurate and smooth mouse for all the graphics work i do. The only thing is it doesnt have a side scroll wheel! Noooooooo!

Thats my new dilema, what to do? Do i go with the super smooth and accurate Razer Diamondback or do i get a Logitech with a side-scroll? I'm not too bothered about cables / wireless because my 7700 will be living in my office and will only make the occational trip abroad or to the studios with me.

Being that you covered the PS2... I can also say the Logitech wireless controllers for the XBOX are awesome too.
I wish the MediaClick was offered in a bluetooth model so I could use internal bluetooth and replaceable AA batteries.
For those of you that have had one for a while, how is the battery life? The Microsoft BT mouse is not that great for battery life.

i use (and am usung right now to type this) the microsoft wireless desktop, both keyboard and mouse, it is a really nice one actually, i like it. Although i can't comment on the battery life, asi just got the new wireless setup yesterday. I can say that i have used logitechs mice and keyboards before now and was always impressed. I went with the microsoft since it was cheaper than thelogitech one i wanted.

I have tried the mx1000 and man is that ever a sweet mouse....next thing i am planning on buying. for everyday use i do like the standard microsoft wireless desktop it works well and offers the functionality that i want with good performance. No matter what way a person goes microsoft or logitech i think they have made a good decision, good luck with your new mouse.

I am using the MX900 bluetooth mouse and it works great with games and stuff. I didn't pay $100 for it either, I paid more like $75 on TigerDirect.com. It just takes a minute when Windows is starting up to see it through my bluetooth adapter (I am not using the docking station that came with it, i use the PCMCIA bluetooth card, that way it is a lot more portable). Once Windows recognizes it thought, it runs without any lag at all, even in games. I use it all the time to play UT2K4 online.
