on closer inspection it said this:

The estimated delivery day for your order is between 3/1/05 and 3/3/05

so ya... i guess they don't work as fast as my brain led me to believe they do. Oh well next week is still good!

Maybe..... Could be me. Hehe.

i think we'll be competing for benchmarks/photos guys but with all three of us getting em close to the same time it'll give a balanced perspective on the lappy. And maybe we'll see some slight differences. Of course i'm only gonna have 256 of ram so mine will almost certainly lose :S

My D610 just entered the boxing stage today!!!

Please post reviews once you get it, both of those are on my list of possible choices, especially since they only have a X300 in the i6000, and no replacement yet for the i8600.

woo 256! lol ya it will suck... i'm still looking at prices for ram, so far tigerdirect.ca is my best bet.
do you know if tigerdirect.ca sells 533mhz ram?
just call purolator and now it's next tuesday...
Hi Guys,
I just ordered a new Dell D810

I ordered with 512 (256x2) since it was a free upgrade. That should tide me for a while before I have to take this out and put some GBs in there.

But I have a question - if I buy RAM from Dell itself for D810, do you know if they will honor the original factory warranty? Or does that warranty go out because I changed the system specs or because I installed it myself?

Thanks in advance!!
you should be able to install your own ram without voiding the warranty. Also Tigerdirect.ca does sell 533mhz ram for lappies it came to $205 per 512 stick (with tax+shipping) i'm looking into some other places but so far thats the best deal i've seen.

- mine will also be arriving on tuesday or so. It's listed on purolator's webby. My laptop is on some truck in the U.S. driving around looking for me! come home lappy, come home!
