I just sold my ixps laptop on ebay and have received payment. I am uninstalling the games and things like that, and something occured to me. When I uninstall steam and HL2, what will prevent the individual from just system restoring to an ealier point and going on my account??? How do i prevent this?

what stuff does system restore actually restore? i thought that it just restores an older version of the registry. if the programs are not installed, then it would not matter if the registry is restored.

If you have sensitive/personal data on the disk I suggest you use DBan to erase the data. Simply formatting won't do it.
