Well i got it tested it and have a review for you all.

Buying experience:
I bought my M6 from Discountlaptops.com A+ experience and very helpful. Some real cool things worth mentioning it shipped with the new intel wireless card with a+b+g even though at the time i had paid for the 2200 which is on b+g. Being overseas i was expecting at least a week if not 2 for shipping got here in a amazing 4 DAYS

Configuration:
15.4" widescreen
1.7Ghz Dothan
1 gb low latency DDR ram
60gb 7200rpm HD
8xDVD/cd-rw DL burner
dual battery
port replicator

Setup
Well i pulled this bad boy out the box and was setting up windows xp pro in about 15 minutes the install took about 25 mins. The laptop was quick, nimble and impressive. all the people at my job were like wow is that a 17" screen, so that gives you an idea of how big the screen looks.

Looks:
Now i have to say the exterior of the laptop is nothing impressive but once you open up the M6 it is a very nice looking laptop the screen and keyboard as well as the lights are very easy on the eyes.

Screen:
The screen is amazing Discountlaptops.com did a free dead pixel check so that was no worry. clear crisp and very sharp image reproduction i play WoW and the graphics are very impressive. the screen looks much bigger then it is and is easy on the eyes.

Keyboard:
Looks good and is stiff and sturdy no complaints at all

Touchpad:
Very responsive and works well the scroll button doesnt always work but does most of the time. I think the times it doesnt work are because of the webpage.

Heat and Cooling:
Runs cool as long as the vent is able to exhaust air it stays cool and quiet my friend was thinking that having it on her lap would burn her up i let her feel it and she said "wow it really is cool"

Battery Life:
Good the two battery option is a life saver and with game drive installed i dont need the CD-Rom drive for most games.

Overall:
I spent 2k and have no complaints its not a sonoma but i dont care i dont think i would have been any happier with a sonoma system. The M6 is probably the best for the size, performance, weight, and battery life that you can buy.

Toshiba UJ-831B

I believe the UJ-831B is a Panasonic drive. I think most Toshiba drives use the SD designation.

it showed up as matushita which used to mean toshiba when i was selling electronics but you are right it is a panasonic drive i double checked. thanks-

matsushita is panasonic, i got the same drive, dvd-rw dual..... hope you enjoy your new toy. i still debate with myself as if i should have got the widescreen, but i like the sxga+. just hate to have the chassis big enough for a widescreen only to hold a 4:3. oh well, love it.........
