Ferrari 3200 XP2 upgrade

I am sure I can´t be the only one having this problem. I cannot install XP2 or any other updates without getting the bluescreen at the next re-boot. Luckily I could uninstall XP2

I probably just need to update the motherboard or bios firmware but I can´t see any guides for it and I don´t really feel like messing it all up

blue screen.
check the memory first. make sure it's seated properly.
you shouldn't need to upgrade bios for this upgrade.

check the memory?... does this really has anything to do with the XP2 update? The laptop is working fine overall, it is just the XP2 it cannot handle. I believe I have read some where it was needed of some kind of a driver update first. I have bought it in august 2004

I had no problems installing SP2 on my Acer Ferrari 3200 so there must be some kind of problem with your installation or system then. Try a clean install of Windows XP first and then SP2 before you install any drivers. If the problem is still there I suggest that you run a full check with Memtest86+:
