How powerful is the 9860 compared to a desktop, and what type of desktop would be equivalent to the 9860

y not ask overall performance + gaming capability compare with desktop video card, what is it equivalent to? I want to know too LOL

I would love to see sysmark 2002 scores for the 9860 as well... that's a good real-world non-gaming test, having lots of apps open, hammering in photoshop while someone drops a 20M email on your lap through outlook, while winamp hits you with a tune, and avantbrowser has 12 sites open. This is what I need to see

Well, I can tell you it can do all of this at the same time and still play a fluid game of COH:



We had the TV tuner going, watching a DVD, had the built in camera on, a City of Heroes game running, AIM chat, and a few IE windows surfing at one point using the 17" display and a 19" external monitor. If a person really needs more than that running at the same time there's no hope for them. It's safe to say it will hang with a very high end desktop.

Luke is here @ work with AIM, Outlook, couple of IE windows open, and World of Warcraft running most of the day every day in a dual display setup on his 9860... probably 18 hours a day flipping between game and work tab key style . Makes you wonder how a guy so innocent could get punched in the face lol.

Heh... Thanks Adam.... I am a WOW junkie (former EQ I junkie), and self employed, which makes a dangerous combination. I just spoke with Luke, and found out you encouraged gaming where do I fill out the employment app?
