2170US upgrade processor?

Anyone know off hand if I can upgrade the processor for the presario 2170US?

I have dell laptop computers and can always find upgrade info for them but this compaq is a b*tch to find any info on.

BTW-
I bought this off of ebay with a bad MOBO but was able to find a brand new motherboard with a firewire port (the original did not have the firewire) for $182.

Everything is working great.

It has a 2.0 ghz intel mobile P4
256 MB ram
15" xga tft screen
dvd cd-rw

Thanks for any help

Memory is on the way.

I know there was a 2.6 and a 2.8 Ghz chip with 400 mhz fsb. I also have a dell 1100 but it uses the desktop processor and it is the same core, northwood. The desktop processor goes to 2.8Ghz.

Getting Compaq information is not easy. Dell, I can find anywhere.

I think I am going to sell this Compaq on ebay, what do you think it is worth?
It is in good condition, only very minor scuffs on the top cover.
Celeron Mobile 2.0 Ghz
256 mb ram (2x128)
40 Gig HD
has the firewire port
15" screen
Battery is good, 2.7 hr charge min.
Original software

Sold one with a 2.4 a few months back for 670.00 on the bay but theyre dropping now as they can be bought so cheap new.. I think you could run a 2800 Athlon also. (My mistake).. They came with these chips stock also. Had 5 of these in for repairs this week, If you can get 550.0 or 600.00 for it dump it.. It will be a problem down the road.. Kind of a hot box with heat related issues as well as power supply and CPU circuit problems high on the fail list.(Similar 2500 series is built better by far). (Weve probably repaired in the neighborhood of 100 of these to date). Good luck!
