HP Compaq nx9005

I am working at my notebook and it will switch off by itself.
I think it is getting too warm and overheating.
What is wrong and what can i do

Look at purchasing a cooling pad. Vantec makes a good one and one model even has a 4 port USB hub with it. I think you can pick one up on zipzoomfly.com or newegg.com for around 40 bucks.

Dust buildup

Get some canned air also and blow the radiator out for the cooling fan..

go to this site and download Mobmeter its a small app that well give you temp readings for your CPU and HD run it and post your temps.

Frequency and charge rate steady. HDD temp steady 50-52 degrees c but tempreture normally 60-64 but when i started working on the comp the temp eventually rose to 96 degrees c so i turned it off. Been told by hp to download bios upgrade but it hasn't done anything.
