Thread Starter
I know a lot of you are having problems with this and trying to talk to tech support, which isn't really support to begin with. Just a tip, contact the people who made the device as your notebook companies don't make the drivers! Anyways here is my Fix to the problem and I had no problems so far!

BEFORE YOU START PRINT THIS PAGE OFF!!!
Step 1)
http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scri...ProductID=1637
Go there and download the latest driver for the Wirless 2200BG.

Step 2)
Click on Start>Control Panel
Switch to Classic view
Double click on Add/Remove Programs

Step 3)
Find the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Program.
Uninstall

Step 4)
Close Add/Remove Programs
Double Click on System
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on Device Manager

Step 5)
Locate Network Adapters and expand the list
Right Click on Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection>Uninstall

Step 6)
Now all instances of this program is uninstalled!
Close Device Manager
Close System

Step 7)
Minimize Control Panel Screen
Run the .exe you downloaded from the website. This will extract the contents to an Intel folder.

DO NOT INSTALL

Maximize Control Panel Screen again.

Step 8)
Double Click on Add New Hardware
It will locate the Integrated Wireless Card and warn you that you should install using the install disk rather than using windows.

CONTINUE ANYWAYS!

Step 9)
It will ask youu to connect to the internet for help. Screw that, click No.
Then you will have two boxes: One - Let Windows Search for the Correct Driver. Two - Let you find the driver yourself.
Click on Let me find the driver.
Click on the Advance button and where you can type in the directory for windows to search copy and paste this:
C:\Intel\wireless 9.0.1.0 - generic TIC 90281\Drivers

Step 10)
Click Next and it will INSTALL!

Now you won't have the nice interface that Intel provided you with, and you will have to use the Microsoft Wireless Connection Finder instead. I don't know about you, but I don't want a PMCII(?) card as I'd rather have it internal and connect a Sound Blaster ZS 2 in that slot. Have fun! NO MORE LOCK UPS AND BLACK SCREENS!

I believe this is Pin Worthy

Ok.... I think. My brand new 4750 doesn't have the Intel card. As far as I can tell, I've an MSI-branded 802.11b/g. It may implement the Intel chipset, and I haven't felt the need to look since thus far, I'm not experiencing any significant symptoms with mine (aside from the usual bouncing signal quality which comes with WiFi in general.

What was the problem that fostered this crusade to begin with?

I'm having a major problem with my wireless g connectivity, i'm willing to try anything to get this to connect. I have 2 other laptops and they are connecting from any room without a hitch. the sager 4750 ( brand new ) will not connect ( or get a very low connection - then drops it ) right in the same room as the router.... help ...

try going to the following link, and downloading the latest drivers. then uninstall the one you have, reboot, then install the drivers.

http://www.msi.com.tw/program/produc...il.php?UID=592

its a zip file, so i would just save it to the desktop, then unzip it to a directory you can easily find, then once you uninstall the old card from the device manager, you can simply(yea..right) install the new software...

one problem i am having is, it gets a simply suck signal.. i am like 5 feet from my router, and it says i am getting low signal str.

i installed a cisco pcmcia card, and it works like a charm. i dont know... i cant tell what is going on... rather annoying me to no end... with the cisco card in there, the palmrest gets way too hot to even think about putting my wrist on there, so if i have to resort to pcmcia card, its gonna make life sucky..

hope this helps... it was THE only way i could get mine to see anything... i even went so far as to buy a new router, thinkin my old one was being a pain..
