OK, I ordered a i9200 with a WUVGA screen. When I got it, it had a dead pixel
. On 2/10 I requested a replacement system. I chatted Dell on 2/17 to check the status of the replacement order. I was informed that the order was cancelled on 2/16 (was not approved by a manager) and the order was resubmitted. I chatted Dell again today and got an order number. When I checked the order I found they were shipping with a XGA+ screen (not a WUVGA).
I have been using the WUVGA screen for a few weeks now and find it hard to read a lot of text. A lot of times I have to increase the font size in IE. So I wouldn't mind the XVGA+ screen. When I did a price comparison I could get the XVGA+ screen, upgrade to the DVD burner and get a snap cover for cheaper than what I paid. Needless to say I submitted a request for a return and ordered the new system.
I also upgraded to the IntelĀ® PRO/Wireless 2915 Internal Wireless because the system would ship 5 days faster.
I just had a bad feeling they would screw it up again or I would get a sparkly screen. I hope I did the right thing and will like the XVGA+ better (I read a lot on my laptop). I will keep you guys updated.
