Input Tablet Advice

Thread Starter
I am looking to buy an input tablet that I can use with Photoshop.

My determining factor is price, it is ok with me if it is rather small. Does anyone know of a decent tablet that won't break the bank?

i use an old wacom graphire that has a 4x5in area and 256 presure levels(i think). when i got it, it was about $100. nowadays the graphire2 is $100 and a lot nicer-looking also has 512 pressure levels. The next model up from wacom is the intuos2 4x5in that runs about $200 and has 1024pessure levels.

anyways i've had my graphire for at least 4-5 years now and it still works perfectly.

I was geting ready to post this question myself.

I am looking at the 9x12 Intuos2. I am going to try and get a refurbished one from Wacom. The refurbished one would be $375 instead of a new one from B & H Photo for $440.

As teh above poster said tablets will last you a ong time. I figure I may as well spend a decent ammount for a really good one. I am sure I'll be replacing all my other equipment before the tablet.

I am intrested to hear about other options that my be out there. More to say but I gotta get to work!
