After reading through the seven pages of this thread I decided to sign up and oh yeah, I bought an XPS Gen 2 as well. I was looking into Voodoo and other counterparts until I finally realized the Gen 2 was the only one with the Ultra go version--no wonder it had higher frames...

Id like to ad one thing though. I emailed Voodoo asking them when they expected to have a Geforce 6800 Go Ultra in their laptops and they told me it was an exclusive Nvidia and Dell deal which would last about 6 months. I cant wait that long so Im glad I got this laptop.

BTW, thanks for all the info it helped a bunch with my decision.

Does anyone know anything about using US laptops in Europe. I heard that all laptop power supplys can handle 110 through 240 so all I need to use the gen 2 in Europe is an adapater so the plug will fit right? Does anyone know of any special dell adapater or will any just do. Thanks in advance for any information.

I have travelled with my 8200 to every continent and never had a problem, so yes, all you need is the adapter for the wall.

I'd love to write a review on my new XPS G2, but I can't -- it would be too one-sided.

Well, I can write it real quick:

Me Likey.

Need an opinion on XPS Gen 2

I'm planning on getting one of these bad muthas. I was wondering if you thought the 2.13 Ghz processor is worth the extra 200 bucks. Thanks
