Cool! I don't believe it, but at least I can use that as leverage

Another $199 saved if true.
That brings the XPS2 even closer to the i9200/i9300 in price.
I hope so.

I hope it's true too. It took several emails to finally get this answer. At first, all I got were canned responses, but no actual answers.

DaddyOf2Girls: now that you placed an order, you may be able to get a more definitive answer. If you do, please let us know.

I hope it's true...

the funny thing is the response came from the SMB division and they are not selling the XPS2. I'm a Dell reseller and I spoke with my salesperson in the SMB department and he said the XPS2 is not even in his system to sell to me. If it's not on their site, they do not have anything on it. Interesting...

007 - I went to Dell Home (US) and configured your system - but it came out to $3000. Is there some other site/discount where it comes out fror $2700?
Edit: Never mind 007 - I found your post on another forum of going through EPP..

Or I just might stick with the 9200, since it seems like battery life will indeed take a huge hit on the XPS2 and 9300.
and if you call back and change your mind (or wait till you have it and then return) ... they might offer to give you some money back.

refering on nvidia's page the geforce 6800 go and the geforce 6800 go ultra should have same clock rates... so why should the "normal" gf6800go be a underclocked ultra.

EPP is pretty sweet. Before any "discounts" the laptop I configured was $3565. I'm pretty sure that it's really only $3000, and Dell just wants me to think I'm getting away with something. I think $2700 is a fair price. Anybody get theirs for less than that with similar specs (see signature)?
