9300 vs xps2. differences?

looking at the US site XPS2 and the Swedish 9300 page, what are the real differences? Hardware looks common to both. The only thing that seems special about the XPS2 is the cover and lights.

What else is there?

(btw, I spent only about a minute on each product)

enlighten me :P

IMO 9300 is a better machine in laptop standards.
IMO that is based on the UK DELL site.... hopefully the USA will have it soon, so i can BUY it. But I guess I'll wait until flippin APRIL... good lord.

The main difference will be price. The 9300 is supposed to have a base price of $1399.

i guess in my case, the only real factor is the ultra card then.

and weight
and available configurations of processor / ram
right now xps2 has no 1gb single chip dimm where the euro 9300 does

on 9300 there are options you can choose between 64mb 128mb graphic cards

Since they introduced the XPS2 before the 9300, I'm guessing it will be similar to what happened with the XPS and 9100, where the 9100 was a much better deal for nearly the same thing. Hopefully, the 9300 will be nearly identical to the XPS2, but be a bargain for those who don't mind having a feature or two below the "ultimate gaming laptop." Now all we can do is wait for 9300 pricing, although the xps2 isn't as high as I thought it would be.

someone pointed out the the xps2 was for us markets while the 9300 would only be seen overseas.

9300 will not be available in the states

Are there any benchmarks on the new XPS anywhere?

look at the stock 6800 scores in the link below for the gddr3 6800 go and multiply them by 1.36 and that should be the maximum theoretical score the ultra should receive. but of course in real life, getting theoretical maximums is rare.

I didn't point out, I THEORETICISED. XPS2 and 9300 were released on the same date, practically at the same hour. Offshore does not have an xps laptop so releasing a xps2 would give nothing.

And remind yourself that the 9100 was about the equal of xps1 only with lacking gigabit stuff... rings any bells?
