I have a desktop already...this laptop I'm getting for school work (3D modeling, 3D animation, audio & video) & for LAN paries.

...and what makes you think this is the first time that both comapnies haven't cheated before in the past?

That's not cheating...alot of game developers do that. If a particular GPU has a certain feature/s that might make the game run better on that GPU, then more power to them.

I know it isn't exactly the same thing, but it is also done on games that are ported across the 3 game console systems.

I actually came across is yesterday just after it was mentioned here, but didn't find anything else. I'll have to keep an eye on Tomshardware.com to see when they check it out.
