I'm in to photo editing, etc, and so I have a few different programs on my computer. But photo file association with PSP5 Album Viewer allows it to be the default program when viewing. I figured I'd change it, but after I played with it, it's not so bad. Think I'll keep it for a while even with it's limitations. (It's "cute".)
But what KILLZ me is the VERY annoying Dell pop-up that comes on during the PSP5 splash screen load. The window has a count-down of how many days you have left before a "special offer" to buy an advanced copy of the program expires.
I clicked "Properties" on this pop-up in an effort to track it down and irradicate it, but I can't seem to get to it.
Is it, perhaps, cloaked as a "Hidden File"? (That thought just occurred to me.)
I'll go to "Folder Options" and select "Show Hidden Files" to see if it shows itself.
Any other ideas? I also don't really want my computer seeking out any Dell website while I'm not looking, so to speak. Anything else that should be snipped?
Boy I tell ya. I abhore spam. It's such a shame you can't buy a decent system that isn't loaded with such BS advertising.
