Well, I just ordered the XPS Gen2 over the AW 7700.... to me there was no comparison between the 2... I'll be sure to check to make sure I got the right parts though

I lied.......
I really haven't made up my mind yet.....
The 7700 is a real possability as well as the Gen2 and the Acer 8104
can't decide.....
gotta love them glowing eyes......

I had a dell 9100 inspiron what a piece of trash, the power went on it. it took 3 months for the guy to come out and replace the mobo on it,he didnt hook the speakers back up to it so I had to do it myself. JUNK..so I got the alienware 766 remarkable,and I upgraded from the go5700 to the radeon 9700 without a prob. just a driver and bios upgrade. my next desktop or notebook would definitely be an Alienware...... ps... I sold the Dell to my sis. lol

The new Area 51 5550s I ordered for the clinic have Abit AA8XE mobos. AW just uses high quality stuff. What mobo does Dell use in the XPS rigs?

why dont you guys like commish? just because he saved a lot of money on a machine that would be as good as some of the systems most of you blow $4000 on?

sheesh.

It's not a matter of like/dislike...he has his opinions, I have mine. I couldn't care less that he has a Dell and I have an Alienware. He chose to buy a Dell. I chose to buy an Alienware. He may choose to spend $250 on a good meal in a good restaurant. I may go out and get drive-through BurgerKing.

Where we differ is that I don't claim my BurgerKing to be the aesthetic, nourishing, tasty equivalent to his meal.
