Just to let you know my 3dmark03 score with the 6800 DDR3.

9,112 without overclocking

How I can know what type of 6800 version I have?
where I can find if it is the ddr2 ver or ddr3 ver?

I just called alienware and they said that my video card es DDR3, according them if in the video card module say V1.0, it is DDR3. They will test an 6800 ddr3 with 3dmark03 and call me back to compare the score. If anyone here have an idea of what is going on here please let me know.

mine is the ddr2 i had to tweak to get it where it is . i still have some tweking left but i think any massive score improvement is not possible for me.

nothing that already hasnt been posted by other peeps on here. besides running it in a cool room. when my warranty is up or when i upgrade i plan on replacing the junky thermal pad with some good stuff.

check the sager forums for the review of the ddr3 6800 vs the ati x800. there isn't as much benchmarking difference, BUT the ingame performance is more impressive (both are good cards in their own rights)...i'll take better gaming vs better scores any time..

mmm ppl keep saying the 6800go DDR3 is more powerfull than the X800, your scores just don't show it though.. I get 11533 in 3dmark03 with the X800 in my 9860. Sure it's overclocked, but isn't that what we shooting for? hehe.. I don't buy that stuff about the X800 only showing number in benches and not games, name the game and I'll run the benches and screenshot the average numbers. Source engine? any 3dmarks? Aquamark? Name it, it is time to settle the misleading info about the 6800go (not the new ultra, of which I'm confident that it is the leading laptop card, sign me up!). I have no preference in video chipset, just the best gaming. Until the new ultra is out, the X800 IS the best for gaming.
