Just a little note about installing Linux on this...don't zap your Windoze partition right away. The drivers for the Marvell 88E8053 NIC aren't part of the Kernel, so you'll need some way of getting them locally. Just use ntfsresize to shrink down the Windoze partition (or pop in a live CD that has qtparted--I used MEPIS for that, but it's not the only one).
You'll need to get the drivers from http://www.syskonnect.com/syskonnect...l-8_16.tar.bz2
(if the URL gives a 404, go back a directory and get the latest install-*.tar.bz2 -- Syskonnect regularly updates the drivers, and they delete old versions when they release new versions)
Once you do so, keep them on your Windoze partition until you install Linux. Then, make sure you have the kernel sources installed at /usr/src/linux. Untar the package anywhere, run the install.sh script, and select user installation (choice 1). Once that finishes, just run 'modprobe sk98lin' (without the quotes), and you're set.
Note that you will have to do this again every time you recompile the kernel, so keep the tarball around in case you need it again.
Other than having to go through this process, everything on this notebook works with Linux perfectly. I must say that I'm very impressed...
