Hello alles!

In the process of preparing the arrival of my i9300 and i need som help with determining the best/most compatible dvd medias to buy.

Any ideas?
Best software for dual burning?

I feel that i need to burn a couple of +8Gig dvd's due to the fact that i only get an 80Gig hd.

Hmm, what would the ultimate homemade all-in-one dvd contain?
What music/movies/games etc would one have?
Of course only as a backed up legal copy.

not sure about DL but SL DVDrs i would go with benq8x because they are rated to be one of the best, you can burn them at 16x with no problems. they are actually rebanded sony cds but are sold cheaper since they are under the benq name. ritek DVDs are okay, stay away from the cheap no name brand ones

Best media as far as I'm concerned is Taiyo Yuden not cheap for starters by the way only used their R- media. DL media Verbatim Datalife Plus made in Japan very good and Infiniti had all good results to date.

Best software= One that has support for your drive and that your happy using...

Whatever the cheapest is. For years I used Princo CD-Rs, which were dirt cheap at the time. Despite being the absolute cheapest, all the stuff I burned on them still works years later.

Of course I was only burning at 16x back then.

I've always just used whatever the cheapest was also. For the most part I haven't had any problems with them for years. I have a couple that I left sit in a hot car for years and quit working. Right now I have a 40pk of Teon DVD+R 8x that I got for next to nothing.

It is simply an example of how the cheapest CD-Rs I could find worked fine, and that the cheapest DVDs that can be found will probably also be fine.
