again we are back to the fact that P4's shouldnt be in laptops... if you have absolutely no care about battery life its an alright deal... but in past experience HP/compaq laptop quality has left something to be desired

I am waiting for the same LT i will let you know how it is when i get it. On the whole qualtiy thing they are no differnet then any other company.

If you already haven't ordered it, it is no longer a good deal. Plus on that first one you should get the 7200 rpm hard drive. Of course now, Hp no longers options for the 7200. However they have better processors, well in terms of cache. But the worst thing of course~No x600, only the x300!!! Not sure what is up with that! The zd8000 is ok, it still has the x600, however no 7200 rpm hard drive(A must have for gamers). Otherwise on both, they have 2gb of 533mhz ram for 500$ more, a good buy!

I got it and have sent it back to Compaq after a week they sent me a broken computer the Keyboard would not lock into place and the right button on the track pad was crushed. Instead of just sending me the parts they wanted me to send it in for repair so I just returned it and got another LT. I can say that well i had it the screen was beatiful and it was fast but. I never could get over 1:50 minutes off the battery and it was Hot and Loud.

I own the ZD8080us which has the media center edition and it is pretty quiet. I considered the x6000 but the keyboard seemed kinda flimsy so I purchased the other instead.

I take it with me everywhere. I have a sleeve with handles that I put it and my wacom tablet in and away I go. It's perfect for a desktop replacement.
CNET has chosen it for its "today's featured video" and gives it an 8.5 overall rating.
