NEED QUICK HELP- InspironTM XPS Gen2 or InspironTM XPS

Hello everyone.

Hey, its been a long i havent checked the site. wow, so much stuff goin on, so much pms to answer.

Guys i need your help. i want to purchase a DELL laptop. ANd i saw that a new system was added to the site: InspironTM XPS Gen2


I have no idea what is it,, is it better than InspironTM XPS?
its Pentium M, a centrino.

So, like,, dudes, i need a laptop for 3D Animation works, like Maya, Photoshop, Cinema 4D, and so. ANd also a good gaming pc.
Also can any one tell me how can i get the copouns for either InspironTM XPS Gen2 or InspironTM XPS??

If u want sheer power, P4 is always going to be better than P-M. however the XPS2 has a much better VPU then XPS, so overall i think the XPS2 is alot better then the XPS, as it has longer battery life and better VPU.

The XPS2 will be more than enuf for your gaming needs. 5xxx on 3Dmark05.

Your wrong with the "sheer power" comment. P-M beats P4 in some benchies, and that was before Sonoma, so who knows.

Do you think they would make a second generation notebook that was lower power than the first generation? The video card is 300% or more as fast for gaming and I guess 3d generation as well. The processor, though is probably 10% slower than the P4. (comparing the 2.1 PM to the 3.4 P4)
