I can say 100% it would have been a motheboard issue (thats the simple explanation). But what would I know, I have only been fixing Toshiba's for that last few years
I don't what happens in regards to Toshiba repair qualifications in other countries when compared to Australia. We get pretty good training and support here.
I can tell you that we get far better training and support than another brand of notebook (don't ask which).
Just turn up to the training, write your name down and get a certificate of attendance (thats what they should call it). He couldn't even explain what centrino was, except you need an intel processor and wireless lan. I think I was dumber after attending.
