Memory expansion: needed in pairs?

Hi,

I would like to upgrade my Acer memory. I have 2x256mb in there now, but I can get my hands on one 1x512mb SoDimm. Can I couple this one with one of my 256mb SoDimms?

sure why not.

the only thing you can have is an incompatible between them.
