alienware financing

hi, i am going to order and alienware alx aurora sli in a few months(like june or july)
i was wondering if i get financing what does 90 days same as cash mean?
also it says my monthly payment thing would be $270 is that all that i would have to pay each month?
thanx,Joe
same as cash means you dont pay the 21% extra they charge. DO NOT finance with alienware unless you pay for it all within that three months. And yes it means you have to pay 270 a month
post #3 of 52
It means no interest for 90 days. If you take longer to pay you will take it in the ass in interest charges. You can pay $270 a month and then you will have a real long term relationship with Alienware. You will be paying for you rig until you are in Depends.

ok,i am just gonna go to the bank monday morning and take out a loan for my rig. their intrest rates are only like 7% and the monthly payments shouldnt be too uber expensive.and the alienware credit card seems like a ripoff so im not goin with that thanx for the help guys

I dont make much money but paying off my $3500 in 90 days is cake. It's so do-able in fact that im kicking myself in the ass for not getting a better rig.

good idea....if Dell messes up financing than god only knows what can go wrong with smaller companies and smaller banks. Just go take a loan or use a credit card, credit cards are safest.

I have to ask the question:

Why would you take a loan out for a computer? I mean a car or a house is one thing, but if your taking a loan for a computer or if you can't pay for it in 3 months..."Don't buy it!!!"

If you have to ask what "90 days same as cash" means...It's one of those questions if you have to ask it, you probably shouldn't do it. It sounds like you don't have the money for it anyways. I know I am sounding like an A$$ here, but not nearly as much as your question.

Thank you though, it is because of people like you that make me seem smarter.

You just have to love averages....

And I thought that the "Rust in Peace" user name was referring to "Megadeth". There is some one else here that is "14" buying a 7700, check out what I told him. I am by no means calling you "Stupid", I will however call you "Young". (Changes to little boy voice) Is this laptop for Mommy? If so, why isn't she ordering it? Ask Mommy what "90 days same as cash" is. (Back to adult voice) "Why I oughtta..."

At 14 I don't think an Aurora ALX SLI is for you. What kind of income do your parents have? What do they do for a living/
post #14 of 52
A 14 yr old kid does NOT need a ALX SLI. You are either a 8th grader or a freshman in highschool (HS), I am Junior in HS (11th grade), not that much older than you and i know beavis is right. cmon that type of rig is for professional use! If you really want something to dazzle your friends with, go get a laptop which is less expensive than an ALX SLI. It would be a complete waste of money on you. There is however an exception, it would be if your a prodigy. I highly doubt you are one though and I am not calling you stupid.

In your earlier post you said "only 7% interest rate" and "that isnt uber expensice"?! OH BOY are you dumb. Now I am calling you stupid DIRECTLY.

What bank would give a loan to a 14 year old anyways? Shit, I just got a loan from my parents and I'm 20, third year in college. No wonder so many Americans are in debt.

i want this rig for ultimate peformance in games like hl2 doom3 and ut2k4.
i also understand why i am getting this rig for the performance and power.
im gonna go with financing though.my uncle said he has a low intrest credit card he said i could use that for the system.
i am also gonna change the 1yr warranty to 3yr and get cheaper speakers such as the logitech 280 watt.

Let's not get personal here. If your parents are loaded, then get it. You can get a laptop and a Aurora ALX (without SLI). Spend the same amout with AW, but so it in a way that makes more sense for you.
